Hello Everyone!

I just had my 120,000 mile service on
My 2017 Ford Fiesta SE Sedan with the
1.6 litre engine and automatic transmission.
According to the trip computer, I am still
averaging 40 miles per gallon, and when
I fill it up with gas the math checks out.

I am making an ignorant statement,
but I just realised that I never had a
power steering fluid change and
service done on the vehicle.
However, I never had a
power steering problem.

Does the 2017 Ford Fiesta need
power steering fluid changes,
or does it have lifetime
power steering fluid?

Fiesta has electric power assist steering. The only juice it requires is the kind that flows through wires

So it means you do not need any power steering oil or power steering fluid change for your Fiesta.

But what it does mean is,

Pay close attention to your car,

  • keep the battery, your charging system and the wire connections at the battery and elsewhere you can get at, to clean and preserve, to keep free of corrosion as much as possible.
  • IT also means you keep the car in proper alignment and the system will be trouble free for years to come - providing you keep your Fiestas' tires properly inflated and the vehicle properly maintained including its braking system and wheels aligned - using a good set of properly sized tires.

Following that advice...

Means that you and your car will probably outlive the rest of us...
